Spider-Man: No Way Home is a 2021 superhero action comedy-drama, which is the 27th movie featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the third Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland as the titular character. The film picks up right where the last film, Far From Home, ended. The villain Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) revealed Spider-Man’s identity to the world before he was killed in battle. The story details the aftermath of Peter Parker’s identity leak and how it affects the lives of his family, his girlfriend MJ (Zendaya), and his best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon).

To protect the people closest to him, he seeks help from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) who performs a spell so the whole world forgets that Peter is Spider-Man. But when the spell goes wrong, he accidentally opens the multiverse which lets loose many foes that could risk the fate of all of reality itself.

Returning characters from the Holland trilogy include Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori), Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) and Marisa Tomai’s Aunt May.

Villains returning from the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb-directed movies include Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), Electro (Jamie Foxx), The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) and Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), along with a end-credits cameo from Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock/Venom. Also returning from the Raimi movies is Peter Parker’s boss J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons)

This movie also has the first character from the multiple Marvel-Netflix series’ (as well as the first blind hero) to join the MCU with the crime-fighting lawyer Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox).

Long before the movie's release there were rumours about who and what would be featured in this massively anticipated film, most of which seemed extremely far-fetched or unreal. I can happily now say that a lot of them actually came true and that this film is sure to please any Spider-Man fan, new or old. This will definitely please and succeed people's expectations. Debatably, this could be seen as possibly the best Spider-Man movie yet, and also the most successful profits-wise, with the film set to easily succeed the $1 billion mark.

There are many surprises in store for fans of the past movies and leaves much to look forward to for future outings of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Score - 10/10
